The last day of the year belongs to everyone who likes to have a good time. On the stages, in the streets and at concerts you can see for yourself just how Slovaks like to enjoy themselves, long into the night. Enjoy the New Year with an impressive fireworks display in Bratislava.

  The Main Square is at the epicentre of the festivities, together with the neighbouring Hviezdoslav Square in front of the opera house and the embankment along the River Danube between Nový Most and Starý Most bridges.

• Die Information fuer unsere Deutsch sprachige Gäste (16.12.2009)
  Im vergangenen Jahr begrüßten ca. einhunderttausend Menschen auf den Plätzen und in den Straßen Bratislavas das neue Jahr, wobei jeder Fünfte aus dem Ausland kam. Das Bratislavaer Silvester mit dem Slogan „Willkommen in Partyslava!“ ist heute eine Megaveranstaltung, die den Feierlichkeiten jeder beliebigen europäischen Großstadt gleicht.
